STICKING with the Valentine's Day theme, Russo Recruitment's manager Denise Love says people should approach a job interview like a first date.
''The first date/interview is when both parties are full of nervous anticipation,'' she says. ''You size each other up to see if the relationship is worth pursuing.''
Love's tips for both include looking good, feeling great and having self-confidence.
Be positive - no one likes a negative person.
Do your research - drop something you've discovered about them into the conversation.
Do not try too hard - relax and just remember to be yourself.
But Love saves the most important tip until last . . . and remember she's talking about both interviews and first dates.
Think long term - if this is going to be a serious commitment there's going to have to be some compromise and mutual respect.
